Your choice for a great, year-round conference venue. Located 10 minutes from the New Plymouth CBD and close to Bell Block, Waitara and Inglewood, our main Conference Room has a 15-30 person capacity and free WiFi. Breakaway rooms and areas are also available, and the outside area for team building if required. Our peaceful areas and grounds encourage and promote creativity.

For company Christmas parties, ruby weddings, christenings, prize giving ceremonies… Celebrations are our speciality. Our central venue has everything you need whenever you require a special place to hold your function. Sentry Hill can cater for 20-80 guests or smaller groups by arrangement.

An elegant and friendly location for your wedding
Sentry Hill Motel, with its elegant old homestead (moved to this location from New Plymouth in 1960) was set up as a museum for a number of years. This ambience makes it a great location for a smaller, intimate style of wedding. Sentry Hill can cater for 30-80 guests.
Garden Weddings
Have your ceremony in the grounds to the style you choose. Guests can mingle in the garden with pre-dinner drinks while finger food is served. If the weather changes you can move to an inside venue for the wedding service if required.
Wedding and Wedding Reception
This can be tailored to suit you and your special day in our beautiful old homestead. Photo opportunities abound in the spacious grounds, with Mt Taranaki in the background. Accommodation can be booked on site, so there is no need for guests to travel. The bride and groom have honeymoon night accommodation free of charge when staying at Sentry Hill Motel.
